I love how my husband brings home veggies, bread, or some sort of local produce from his work travels. Cause I promise you when I travel I'm not returning with potatos unless someone gives to me. 😂 But I like how his mind thinks differently due to his village upbringing. #balance Anyway, these are some potatos he brought back recently from outdoor farm vendors and I was like, wow these are some fresh potatoes! My son (that's him) and I went out yesterday with some family friends for a late afternoon picnic at this old train station here in my town in #Namibia. The kids played in and around this old train and then a security guard came up to us and told us not to allow them to go behind the train because there's a cobra snake living behind it 😰 Later that evening at home I Googled "cobra snakes Namibia" and lo and behold they're extremely venemous and lethal. 😵 #Africa #motherhoodabroad #Expatmotherhood #diasporababies #toddlersofNamibia #closecalls #yikes 🐍
My husband snuck a shot of me and our brand new three year old the other evening as we grabbed a bite to eat! I was surprised at how deep in thought I looked when I saw the photo...
